Hawthorne: The herb of love; the best heart herb that there is! A cardiotonic energetically and physically.
Wild Rose: Sacred to Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love. Roses are great for heart nurturing, and healing grief. Wild rose assists with the ability to see beauty and love in all things.
Blue Vervain: Also regarded as a sorcery herb, held as sacred, a holy herb. Vervain was dedicated to Isis and used in love potions and birth. Many love spells and romantic formulas include vervain. Supports the liver as well.
Ashwagandha: Shown to support heart strength. An adaptogenic herb that can help reduce stress and support blood pressure.

About Laura Evens

Laura Evens was born Laura Turner on May 1, 1871. After originally coming to Colorado with husband and child, she found she wasn’t much suited for either. She was coaxed by the famous Jennie Rogers into learning the skin trade, and it’s rumored that she rented a brothel from Lou Bunch in Central City for some time as well. Under Jennie Rogers, she made her way to Leadville where she learned the way of a soiled dove. Laura was known for her flair for fun and loved the town of Leadville. It eventually became a bit too dangerous and she made her way to Salida, Colorado. A great businesswomen, she kept her girls in order and of class - but also knew how to ensure they had a good time. Laura owned several parlors, brothel houses, and cribs on what is now known as F Street and Sackett Ave.  A well loved local of Salida with a big heart, Laura helped keep the town afloat during the great depression and made many contributions to the town.
